Naturally Balanced is run by  Michelle McLeod, who has worked with clients for eight years out of her Danforth office.

About Michelle

After leaving university, I worked as an investment analyst at an investment firm in Toronto. While I found it interesting, when I returned to work after raising my two kids, I wanted to work with people one-on-one in support of their health. I had been introduced to Bowen Therapy and found it to be incredibly powerful. So I made a career change and went back to school to focus on nutrition and bodywork.

In 2013, I graduated from the Bowen Institute studying with Derek Murphy. The same year, I graduated  from the Institute of Holistic Nutrition, becoming certified as a holistic nutritionist.  A few years ago, I was searching for a better ability to zero in on the site of my client’s problems. So in 2018-19, I spent a year, once a month, studying Tensegrity Medicine with Kelly Clancy in Seattle, Washington, expanding my knowledge of the inter-relationships of the body, assessments, and bodywork, based upon the latest in fascial research.

Since launching Naturally Balanced in 2013, I’ve worked with clients from all walks of life, from infants, to seniors in their 80s, to high-performance athletes. I’ve worked with clients struggling with pain and concussion symptoms, who found healing in Bowen. I’ve worked with clients with a range of health imbalances and digestive issues, whom I’ve created custom nutrition plans for and have found healing in whole food pant based diet.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, kayaking, hiking, and cooking.
